Data leak prevention is a useful tool that prohibits your corporate data leaking out of our system. Combined with your SWG, a data leak prevention tool monitors for instances of attempted data leaks, such as Payment Card Industry (PCI) number patterns appealing in emails or Personally Identifiable Information being uploaded to the cloud, and puts a block on it before it’s too late.

In most cases, no it’s not. A traditional firewall provides basic-level protection against malicious content, but only an SWG can restrict suspicious traffic, block harmful websites and enforce your company’s Internet security policies.
